Saturday 28th
Porlock Horticultural and Crafts Society Spring Show:

With floral classes including narcissus, early spring shrubs, and many other seasonal flowers, decorative and cookery classes there will be plenty for visitors to see and admire. The Show also includes a raffle, plant stall and refreshments will be available. It is one of the earliest shows in the area and a must for anyone looking for inspiration for their home or garden!

Exmoor Society - Porlock Group - Archeological Field Trip

Simonsbath revealed - Recent archeological work in Simonsbath is revealing how the village was developed including the building of a great mansion never completed, the gardens of which are only now being uncovered. A walk led by ENP staff will explain the story of the village and the results of the current research. There may also be a chance to visit the Sawmill. Optional lunch beforehand at the Exmoor Forest Inn

Exmoor Society - Porlock Group - Visit to Cotleigh's Brewery

A visit to Cotleigh's Brewery at Wiveliscombe. Following a provided light lunch, there will be a guided tour of the Brewery, after which there will be an optional led walk around the village.

An Allerford Family - Mike Leach will lead a short walk around Allerford village looking at the history of 4 generations of his family. Park besides Piles Mill
Distance 2 mils, fairly level partly n tarmaced path. Walking boots required.

Chairman's Walk - A walk from the Chairman's house, Northmoor Cottage, North Hill Road to Greenaleigh and Burgundy Chapel. 4 miles. Bring boots and outdoor clothing. GR 968471

Porlock Horticultural and Crafts Society Summer Show:

With floral classes including roses, Sweet Peas, hydrangeas and herbaceous perennials and other classes including vegetables, fruit, decorative, handicrafts and photographs this really is a show for everyone. There are also plant sales, a raffle and refreshments are available. What a great way to spend the afternoon, whatever the weather!

Tom and Barbara Brown return to Porlock with an evening of Song and Story entitled "An Exmoor Garland", celebrating all that is Exmoor, from pixie hunting to the Pony Fairs.

Sunday 30th
Smugglers Run

Teams of smugglers try to evade and outwit the excisemen while carrying barrels across Porlock Marsh! Fun for all - spectators and participants - fancy dress optional. The teams will leave the Top Ship in Porlock at noon and finish up at the Bottom Ship in Porlock Weir.

Porlock Carnival- 30th Anniversary

A traditional village carnival with floats, bands and walking particpants.
Can be viewed along as they parade along along the High Street
