The Bottom Ship Inn
The Bottom Ship Inn is situated in the pictureque location of Porlock Weir, a 15th century hamlet overlooking the Bristol Channel. We have a spacious bar with stone floor and roaring fire in the winter and a large outside seating area for the summer months. Freshly cooked food is available throughout the year as well as a wide selection of real ales and ciders.
The Castle is a B&B, pub and restaurant located in the centre of Porlock. It has a large bar and restaurant area with roaring fires in the winter months and serves food all day throughout the year.
The Top Ship Inn
The Ship Inn is a former 13th century coaching inn, one of the oldest inns on Exmoor, with roaring log fires in the winter and a large outdoor seating area and children’s play area for the summer months. Home made food using local produce is served daily in the bar and restaurant. Cask Marque recommended Real Ales and ciders are served in a genuine Exmoor bar. Pets are most welcome and ample car parking is available.

You can’t beat our classic Ploughmans with a selection of West Country Cheddar, Somerset Brie and Blue Cheese from right here on Exmoor all served with a delicious chutney made close by in Devon. For a real taste of the West Country, you just have to indulge in a Cream Tea. Hearty scones with a generous helping of jam and clotted cream. Just perfect with a lovely cup of tea. We also have a Specials Board each day, featuring the season’s best locally supplied produce. We also offer a range of food and drink to take away so that you don’t have to miss any time exploring the beautiful coast and countryside that’s right on the doorstep. Open 10am – 5pm.
Kitnors Tea Gardens
Located in the heart of Bossington, opposite the National Trust car park, Kitnors Tea Room and Garden is the perfect oasis to relax in after a walk along the coastal path or as a retreat to enjoy tea and cake. Light lunches are served daily from 11am to 4pm during the summer and 11am to 3.30pm in winter. We also offer a wide selection of home-made cakes, cream tea with home-made scone and other delights are available all day. We also have options available for gluten-free and dairy-free diets. Whortleberry Tearoom is the perfect place for refreshment in the wonderful Exmoor village of Porlock.
