The Bottom Ship Inn
The Bottom Ship Inn is situated in the picturesque location of Porlock Weir, a 15th century hamlet overlooking the Bristol Channel. We have a spacious bar with stone floor and roaring fire in the winter and a large outside seating area for the summer months. Freshly cooked food is available throughout the year as well as a wide selection of real ales and ciders.
The Castle is a B&B, pub and restaurant located in the centre of Porlock. It has a large bar and restaurant area with roaring fires in the winter months and serves food all day throughout the year.
The Top Ship Inn
The Ship Inn is a former 13th century coaching inn, one of the oldest inns on Exmoor, with roaring log fires in the winter and a large outdoor seating area and children’s play area for the summer months. Home made food using local produce is served daily in the bar and restaurant. Cask Marque recommended Real Ales and ciders are served in a genuine Exmoor bar. Pets are most welcome and ample car parking is available.

We believe for small communities such as ours to survive it’s important for us to work at supporting one another. In this endeavor we try to source all of our produce as locally as possible. Restaurant open off peak season, Thursday to Saturday from 6pm; Peak season, Monday to Saturday from 6pm. Private dining and functions can be arranged outside of these hours.
The Coleridge Restaurant
Intimate, friendly and relaxed dining with a seasonally changing menu and a focus on locally-sourced produce. Our extensive wine list is supplied by top London wine merchants Berry Bros. & Rudd. As well as vegetarians we also cater for those with special dietary requirements such as lactose/gluten intolerance. Please inform us of your requirements at time of booking. With views towards The Coleridge Way, The Coleridge Restaurant is open to residents and non-residents.

Classic, relaxing and warming, our newly created Italian restaurant offers a changing menu governed by local, organic, seasonal availability. Our passionate kitchen team delight in creating classic Italian dishes influenced by the Exmoor larder with a few vegan options for our valued clients. We aim to accommodate most dietary choices in line with the ever-growing band of people wishing to know provenance and how the food they eat was reared or grown. Whortleberry Tearoom is the perfect place for refreshment in the wonderful Exmoor village of Porlock. Whether it be for a full cooked breakfast, light lunch, or sumptuous traditional Cream Tea, complete with local whortleberry jam. Situated in the picturesque harbour at Porlock Weir in Somerset, The Harbour Gallery and Cafe showcases work from local artists and craftspeople, inspired by the beautiful West Country landscape. A variety of art is on display from Painting and Ceramics to Jewellery and Crafts and exhibitors are changed every 10 weeks to ensure there is always fresh new talent on display as well as our regular favourites. Whilst visiting the Gallery take time out to enjoy a drink and homemade snack in our Cafe and Terrace, overlooking the Harbour. Choose from a selection of tea, coffee and hot & cold drinks. Indulge yourself and treat your tastebuds to our homemade cakes, speciality meringues, or homemade scones with clotted cream. Ploughmans lunches with home made pickle, locally produced ice creams, and honey produced on the premises. From Porlock take the A39 main road out towards Minehead, take the first turning on your right signposted towards Horner/Luccombe. Follow the road down into Horner, over the bridge. You will find Horner Vale Tearooms on the corner after the car park. Free parking, pets and children welcome. Open Easter Bank Holiday Weekend and then from1st May – 30th September.
