‘Living Nativity’ – Porlock Village
13th December 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Fri 13th December ‘Living Nativity’ through the village.
On the 13th December, starting at 6pm, adult and children from Porlock will be retelling the story of the nativity, using the village as the backdrop as the story unfolds. We have a wonderful script written by Chris de Vere Hunt who lives in the village.
Our story begins at Dovery Manor Museum with the visit of the angel to Mary. Mary and Joseph and the donkey will start their journey to Bethlehem (also known as the Visitor Centre!), moving through the village as various scenes unfold. We will meet innkeepers, shepherds and wise men as we make our way to the Visitor Centre where the final stable scene can be seen.
As we journey through the village traditional carols will be sung and afterwards light refreshments will be available. This is a free event and a new venture for our village.. We do hope that people will want to come and join in.
