ASH FARM B&B

Ash Farm is a secluded Exmoor Farmhouse with wonderful views overlooking the sea and moorland. It is situated two miles off the main Porlock to Lynmouth road (A39), two and a half miles from Porlock Weir and 11 miles from Minehead and Lynmouth. It is only 10 minutes to the tiny Culbone Church, which is reputed to be the smallest complete Parish Church in England.

Coleridge is said to have been staying at the farmhouse, which is 200 to 300 years old, when he wrote his incomplete poem “Kubla Khan”. The piece was incomplete because his train of thought was broken by a man from Porlock calling on business.

All rooms have washbasins, toilets and separate bathroom; large sitting room with television and tea/coffee making facilities and dining room. Open from April to August.

Bed & Breakfast from £30 per person per night, payment by cash or cheque only.
