PARSONAGE FARM

Secluded cottage and modern stable conversion situated in the area where Coleridge wrote ‘Kubla Khan’. Stunning location and views.
Parsonage Farm Stables is almost 1000 years old, the hayloft of a farm that has been occupied since the time of the Domesday Book. It’s ideal for walkers and dog lovers, offering easy access to all the splendours of Exmoor. Red deer often visit the garden, much to the owner’s dismay, and the gentle cluck of our tame chickens creates a relaxing atmosphere throughout the year. Stunning in summer, with beautiful gardens, and reassuringly cosy in winter. Sometimes you’re above the clouds, and the feeling is rather special. It’s not surprising that Coleridge wrote Kubla Khan in this little valley; you can sense the history today.
Only 15 minutes drive from Porlock. Remote but that’s part of its charm.
Open all year round, price from £250.
