Take Art Event at Porlock Village Hall

Porlock Village Hall and Somerset Take Art are proud to announce that Janice Burns and Jon Duran will be in Porlock on Friday 24^th February 2023. They are an Anglo-Scottish duo with a shared love of traditional music. They find their songs in archives that span the depths of our history – songs that tell vivid stories about the nature of life and our place in the world. From the ethereal landscapes of ancient ballads to the urban rhythms of work songs, they bring each story to life through their stunning vocal harmonies, accompanied by mandolin, tenor guitar and bouzouki. We hope that their warm and heartfelt presence and flawless delivery, this talented duo will be a must-see evening for all music and folk fans. Tickets are £10.00 from Porlock Visitor Centre (cash only), in the New Year, online at ticketsource, or direct from village hall via BACS, email for details. Door and Bar from 7pm.
