WITHOUT YOU WEDNESDAY
What would Porlock Vale look like without Porlock Information Centre and Porlock Vale CIC?
Every day, we quietly help make our community more connected, more informed and more supported. And we do far more than many people realise.
Here are just a few of the things which we do, to start with!
• organise community events
• provide a Warm Space,
• arrange PALS journeys to essential appointments (over 15 in the last week)
• produce the Community Directory, Welcome Pack and monthly What’s On around Porlock Vale ( over 400 What’s On circulated and emailed in the last week)
• provide sign-posting information and practical help when people need it, via our team at the Centre and Laura our Community Support Lead.
We help Porlock Vale thrive too — promoting our village through social media and digital platforms, reaching nearly 3 million people globally in 2025 and and actively promoting Porlock Vale as a destination and our local tourism businesses and subscribers.
And we’re here as a friendly, trusted place to turn — whether you need information, support, a connection or simply don’t know where to start.
So, Without You Wednesday is a little reminder of just how much our community does together
Because we couldn’t do any of this without you.
