Porlock Information Centre collaborated with the National Trust to celebrate their annual blossom campaign 2025.   In 2024, the community of knitters in Porlock and surroundings towns and villages came together and knitted over 1500 flowers for the 2024 blossom project.  In 2025, Porlock information Centre re-used these blossoms to create stunning displays in the Information Centre.  St Dubricius C of E First School joined us this year and we were delighted to display art work created by the talented pupils from St Dubricius School.

A new all accessible walk was launched for around Porlock with a blossom and bee trail self-guided walk.  This has proved really popular with families and people of all ages exploring a lesser know walk around  The Horseshoe in Porlock.  Children have a had a wonderful opportunity to look out for lots of natural things and to learn about the importance of blossoms and bees for our environment.

We ended this year’s Blossom project with a talk on Blossom and its Importance by Bob Looney at Porlock Community Orchard.  It was a beautiful morning to learn about the life of fruit trees and apple blossom in particular, set in the beautiful community orchard overlooking Porlock Bay.
