A weekend of wall-to-wall sunshine ensured that visitors enjoyed the beautiful and interesting gardens in Porlock for Porlock Open Gardens.
The two-day event on June 22nd and 23rd saw crowds of people from across the country to visit the range of different gardens on show. Bossington Lane was the focus for the open gardens this year and people were treated to several new gardens, which offered lovely views across Porlock as well as interesting garden landscaping and beautiful plants.
John Barnes Court opened their garden for the first time, this year. Porlock Ladies provided welcome refreshments and generous donations will make a difference to the residents at John Barnes Court, where they hope to purchase a new bench.
As always, there was a lovely community atmosphere where gardeners share their gardening tips and even cuttings and plants.
All funds raised from ticket sales go towards keeping Porlock Information Centre open and the Porlock Vale CIC is very grateful for the generous support of Porlock’s gardeners.
