Music filled the air at Porlock Weir on Saturday as crowds gathered for a concert of
contemporary, popular music and folk music.
Hosted by The Ship Inn (Bottom Ship), the event was held to raise funds for Porlock Visitor Centre.
And thanks to donations and the performers giving their time and talent for free, the event raised £500.
Visitor Centre manager Deborah Stanyon said, “I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of all the musicians who took part and also want to thank Caz and Royston at The Bottom Ship for letting them perform in such a beautiful setting.
“These funds help to keep the visitor centre open so our team can continue to serve our visitors and community.”
Musicians performing on Sunday included Bob McCarthy, who organised the event along with John Crabb on PA, alongside Jayson John, Rob Craig, Phil Garvey, Mo Scott, Jonathan Fryer and Fox Willow. There were also impromptu performances by Seb Payne and Rusty Payne.
