The launch of the 2022 Porlock Vale Art trail took place last Saturday and Sunday (June 25th and 26th) and, despite heavy showers, we were thrilled to see so many residents and visitors to visit the amazing artists who took part in the Porlock Vale Art Trail.
A town cry by our Town Crier, Grant Dennis, set the scene for a fabulous day out when Porlock High Street was full of people watching weaving, painting, candle making, lino-cut card making, spinning and many taking part in the family creative workshops. Artists sold
their work or took commissions and future orders.
Wootton Courtenay Village Hall showcased the many talents of the local art group and other talented artists and there were additional displays of jewelry and photography throughout the village.
Many artists and visitors are already asking for a repeat event for next year and Porlock Visitor Centre have plans to ensure that another great celebration of Porlock Vale Art will take place in 2023.
The free map of artists available to visit is still available widely throughout Porlock Vale businesses and in all local Tourist Information Centres, including Porlock Visitor Centre.
