A weekend of wall-to-wall sunshine ensured that visitors enjoyed the beautiful and interesting gardens in Porlock for Porlock Open Gardens.

The two-day event on May 20th and 21st saw crowds of people from across the country to visit the range of different gardens on show.

Central Porlock Village was the focus for the open gardens this year and people were treated to several new gardens, which offered lovely views across Porlock as well as interesting garden landscaping and beautiful plants. We even had a pop-up edible garden where the owner shared her tips on how to create a garden from re-cycled containers.

As always, there is a lovely community atmosphere where gardeners share their gardening tips and even cuttings and plants.

Rainbow Flowers set up a plant stall at The Old School Building over the weekend which proved a huge success.

All funds raised from ticket sales go towards keeping Porlock Visitor Centre open and Porlock Vale Tourist Association is very grateful for the generous support of Porlock’s gardeners.
