The Tin Giants, a progressive folk-rock band, travelled from all corners of the UK to perform at a packed Porlock Village Hall.

The Tin Giants take an “in with the old and in with the new approach” to interpreting, writing, and performing traditional, contemporary and original music inspired by European acoustic and folk traditions.

The audience was treated to a dazzling array of instruments including hurdy gurdy, bagpipes, cittern, saxophone, guitars, drums, harp, oboe, flute, percussion, piano and beautiful vocals. The music included many tracks written by band members and the audience was spellbound.

The concert, which took place on Saturday August 5th, was held to raise funds for Porlock Visitor Centre, which is self-funding, and there are already plans to invite the band back for another performance in 2024.
